Broken briolettes

#1

Hi folks,

I have a pair of broken amethyst briolettes. They’re broken at the
tip where the drill hole was, so most of the stones are still
intact. I’m thinking of fabricating a little cone to cover the
broken part with a jump ring soldered to the top - would glue hold
these together well for say a pair of earings? What glue would
ya’ll recommend, or would epoxy be better?

Thanks from Dawn in an unusually chilly April morning in central
Texas.

It should hold fine (at least as well as any glued pearl drop). If
it were me, I would definitely use epoxy.
