Boulder Opal revisited

Thanks for the feedback for those who responded to my question on
boulder opal

I actually know how to cut it, technically, though I learned some
things. What I was also looking for was the point of very of
metalsmiths, sort of using their vision of how they like to see a
stone. I find that when I’m cutting, I not only like to make the
stone do what it wants, but also try to enhance characteristics.
Some need very smooth edges, other like flat surfaces as opposed to
rounded. I anyone has more feedback on that I could be helpful. Of
course with boulder, to some extent you can only get what it will
give you.
