Having recently visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York
City the numerous enamels on exhibition are still fresh in my mind.
My memory of the experience will eventually fade; however, the MMoA
has published a book on the extensive exhibits.
The title is " Enamels of Limoges 1100-1350" ISBN #0-8109-6500-3.
480 pgs, 458 images (208 in color). Published by MMoA and
distributed by Harry N. Abrams, Inc.
This book’s coverage is of the largest collection outside academic
circles of this period of enameling history compiled from the Musee
du Louvre and MMoA.
