Discovering Orchid…

As I think about what to write for my first blog entry, I can=B4t help
but remember when I first discovered Orchid. I was a relative
latecomer to the Internet, having purchased my first computer in
1998. I was of the opinion as a craftsman that computers were more or
less for accountants who wrote spreadsheets or kids who played video
games, but not quite right for a guy like me. Perhaps I was a bit of
a technophobe or maybe it was plain snobbery, the operative idea
being there was something noble and special about being creative and
working with my hands and that using a computer would some how mean
I=B4d sold out to “progress” or something silly like that!..
