80% of total time spent on Twitter is spent by just 7% of users
For the other 20% of time spent by 93% of users, therefore, what
you’re seeing is a fraction of a fraction of their attention.
I have found the above on a marketing mailing list, and I thought it
may give another angle to the recent discussion about marketing
jewellery on the “social web”. If I assume that all these millions
of tweets are produced by the 7%, then it is a safe bet to say that
(almost) nobody listens. Or is it?
It would be interesting to see numbers about Facebook.
