Best way to preserve silver oxidization?

Hello, I’ve been using JAX Silver Blackener for my silver pieces
(chains and rings), works beautiful but I’m concerned it will fade
away pretty soon and maybe can leave marks on clothing. Can anyone
advise me? Thank you!
