Hello All. I noticed, after looking at the referred website
Slabsandcabs for the much discussed “Tiffany” stone, that they spelled
it with one F - Tifany. That would remove it from competition with
the famous jeweler and account for the fact that it is still called
that. This is the reply to my query for all to see, as promised KK.

IANAL but this is baloney. The trademark rules are geared toward
"likelihood of confusion." Merely dropping an “f” will not pass that
test. Just try opening a fast food place called MacDonalds and see
how quick you get klobbered. I’m certain the Tifany Stone folks will
either change their name or pay a licensing fee and I’d bet more on
the former than the latter.
