If you spell it “Stringth”, with an i instead of the e, you’ll find
the stuff easily.

I think you mean “Stringth” (hybrid- String/Strength). Rio carries
it. Its nylon thread. As an alternative to silk, because it’s not an
nat ural material it does succumb to moisture. In the catalog they
show how you can use a dab of glue on the end of the thread (let it
dry and harden) as a make-shift needle. A good trick for most
threads.
