Utrecht (the Netherlands), March 31, 2008 – Delft Spline Systems
announces an addition to its DeskProto CAM softwaRe: the 123WaxRing
system. This new system (patent pending) is meant for jewelers, and
makes creating jewelry wax models easier than ever before.
123WaxRing will be presented at the Baselword jewelry show, held in
Basel (Switzerland) from April 3 to April 10. You can find it a the
stand of DeskProto reseller Horbach: Hall 3.U, Stand M10.
The 123WaxRing system makes CNC machining your wax model easier than
3D printing it: using pre-shaped wax disks, a special fixture and
smart software, milling has become a push-the-button process. No
need to prepare a wax block, change tools, reconfigure a fixture or
reset the zero point: three times fasten one single screw is all you
need to do.
The toolpaths are prepared by the 123WaxRing wizard, which runs in
the DeskProto software. Required input is an STL file, from any
jewelry design program. The system will be shown using a Roland
JWX-10 wax milling machine, it can be used on any 4 axis CNC milling
machine though.

123WaxRing is aimed at jewelers, to allow in-house manufacturing of
wax models. Not only ring models are possible: it is also easy to
create wax models of charms, pendants and alike designs.
