Baguette setting critique

Hi,

would you like feedback?

here are my personal comments…hope they help…

the casting looks like it has alot of porosity, and the surface/ finishing is still rather rough…is it just a prototype to check “form/ fit/ function”?

the end “prong bars” seem to be very thin and just bent over…versus a thicker end bar, with the metal compressed/ moved over the edge of the stone…

i am not sure what to say about the “seat” of the stone…except that i dont like seeing the knotch created by the bent metal, from the side…?

the bar prongs and their leading edge have not been uniformly shaped/ cleaned up with a file or graver…

hope i am making sense…
hope i am giving good critique…
hope this helps…

Thank you so much for the feedback. The setter said it wasn’t tight enough. I think thickening is a good idea. It is a prototype cast in silver.
