In my wife’s case we did not know what she was allergic to for some
time. We spent a lot of time cleaning the shop and trying to limit
exposure to any chemicals. Her fingers were badly swollen, which,
in my unscientific opinion led to the coinciding onset of
Raynaud"s. After several years of suffering, she became pregnant
which increased the volume of blood in her body reducing the
symptoms. She has not had a problem now for 5 years.
Epoxy can also cause an allergic sensitization. It seems to me that
once a person develops a sensitivity to one allergenic substance
they are probably at risk greater to become sensitized to other
problem chemicals as well.
