Arsnic in copper wire

I heard about arsnic in copper wire or sheet is this still a common
practice in the industry to harden up the material? Am i free to
melt some of my scrap copper down?

Arsenic is not a normal (even as trace) ingredient in the standard
copper alloys . It is detrimental to conductivity in electrical
