I have a client who is really busy. Last week I set about 1,020
little 1 point diamonds. I called him again, another 600-1,200 more
stones for next week…“Life is fun at the setting bench!” So how is
it with you folks these days, any better?

Plenty of retail sales, custom design and repairs.

Where I work, we have an open house twice a year, showcasing a new
collection. The spring one (just after I started) was an almost
complete waste of time-- all-time low attendance and sales, people
just hanging out to drink the wine and eat the tasty hors d’oevres.
At the fall one, 2 weeks ago, it was just the opposite-- all-time
record sales. Could be a fluke, could be a sign… Christmas season
should show!
