Aqua flame soldering machine

Hi,

I had ordered a Aqua flame soldering machine from Cooksons, they have
supplied a Jewel flame unit. Is it the same machine under a different
name, if not, is it in your opinion a similar quality? Thanks
everyone for a great site.

Steven

Hi, sorry my mistake, it was a micro flame machine (not aqua flame)
that i ordered from cooksons, I googled the jewel flame machine that
they sent instead and could find nothing about it, which is a
concern if finding someone to service or fix the machine is going to
be a problem in the future.

The Aqua Flame is no longer available while the Jewel flame unit is,
so direct comparison has no practical validity.

There are single and multi-cell units. Both units you mentioned are
single cell units and similar. Multi-cell units, which are superior
in gas production and reliability, cost significantly more and
usually sold directly, not through jewelry equipment suppliers. For
many years, I worked for one of these firms which made anexcellent
unit with high gas production and and much higher reliability. It
was also part of my job to understand allof the competitors units in
detail. If you need additional details, please feel free to contact
me directly.
