Ummm, a rounded triangle cabachon? or a buff top trillion? High
cab, low cab? you matching something? What’s it going into? sorry
for all the ?s, just curious. I could cut it but that would
probably be too expensive for your needs.

Hi Mark,

I bought some triangular amethsyt cabs from Rio Grande recently… nice
color, although the sides were bowed (curved), as opposed to straight.
Since I was making my own bezels, it wasn’t a big problem, but it did alter
the look of my design somewhat.

Has anyone else noticed what is now selling as “Grade A” amethyst would
have been “Grade C” a few years ago? Color zoning, veils of bubbles,
washed out color? I’ve noticed this from more than one vendor. Inquiring
minds want to know…

Hi Mark,

There are still some high quality Amethysts on the market. I Import from
around the world. Sri-Lanka, South America Ect. and can still get med to
dark purple amethyst eye clean. I would be happy to provide quote. I can
also provide fancey cuts.
