Check out Pauline Warg’s site at http://www.paulinewargdesigns.com
She’s located in Scarborough, Maine right next to Portland!

Good Luck! Sonje

Hi,

Don’t know if this is advanced enough for you, but Metalwerx is
offering a workshop in Pierced Plique a Jour with Diane Alymeda.

The word “advanced” is hard to define when it comes down to actual
classes in enameling in the U. S. There are some beginning classes
and workshops and then there are workshops in specific methods of
working. There is very little curriculum beyond the beginning level
for enameling - as yet. The Enamelist Society has a class listing
site which is part of the Society site (www.enamelistsociety.org)
which is currently under reconstruction but will hopefully contain
all listings throughout the U.S. for enamel classes and workshops.
Meanwhile, outside of academia at those few institutions that offer
enameling programs, the best way to learn “advanced” techniques is to
seek out a mentor or look at workshop schedules for such places as
Haystack, Penland, Arrowmont, Mendocino Art Center, Revere Academy,
Metalwerx, etc. In addition the Society biennial conferences which
have as their component, pre- and post- conference workshops. Next
year’s conference will be held in Columbus, Ohio at the end of
August.
