9th Tucson Orchid Dinner Attire

#1

OK, so this is a stupid question. (I finally/first time signed up
for the Orchid dinner in Tucson.)

Now I’m wondering “what to wear?” It may be a “no brainer” to most,
but it’s an unknown to me.

When I’ve gone to the Tucson show in the past, the only attire
required was casual (VERY casual/tennis shoes, blue jeans, sweats,
etc.)

The dinner may be/probably is different.

Could someone who’s been there in the past give me a clue about
"proper" attire for the Orchid dinner? (I’m never going to get into
high heels again, so don’t even go there.)

The hotel picture where it will be held look pretty formal. Should
I wear:

1. dressy shopping mall wear
2. office attire
3. wedding audience attire
4. go for the gusto, "night on the town" stuff

Please help - feeling insecure.

Hi Susan,

I have only been once, last year, and am planning to go again this
year. I will wear what I always wear: blue jeans and whichever shirt
happens to come clean out of the suitcase, but leaving myself room
for compromise on the latter.

Cheers,

Do NOT feel insecure around THIS group. You could wear anything (or
nothing… actully I’m not sure about that last part.)

Orchid is an extremely warm and welcoming group, and no one is gonna
find fault with whatever you wear.

I am gonna forego the white tie and tails, and wear my ‘uniform’ of a
short-sleeved Hawaiian shirt. (WITH slacks.) David Barzilay, Lord of

p.s. If I see someone in a strpless ball gown with crinolines, I’l
guess that it’s YOU.
