Beautiful. A very versatile piece, though not all customers may choose pendants that complement the leaves. Still, once they’re out of the store what they hang from it is their business.
As well as spring foliage a pair in autumn colors, set with orange sapphires, would be lovely too.
This was a custom piece for a wealthy client. We don’t have a store. We are (cough), bespoke jewelers. We are kinda like Roles Royce mechanics. Behind all of the glitz and glamour we are the guys in the back room banging on metals. The backs on both the small piece and large were ajoured. Our client desired to have a smaller piece for every day wear. The flower can be removed and used as a pin. With either no leaves or hung right side up with the leaves. The full flower with the leaves roughly 2 1/4 inches. The appraised retail replacement cost was… A lot.
Opals are one of my favorite gems! And your art peice is just beautiful! You have done a wonderful job on it. And so creative! I can imagine your customer was most pleased with it!
