We are seeking a “Jewelry Reproduction Apprentice”
This is a two year contracted position in a medium sized production
casting facility. This shop services many talented jewelry designers
across the country. The pay is modest. The work is tough and often
monotonous. The experience is invaluable. The objective always…is
quality work.
The areas of skill covered over two years aRe: Personal and Shop
Safety, Wax injection, Tool and Shop Maintenance, Devestment, Hand
finishing, Mechanical Finishing, Moldmaking, Alloying, Sterling
Casting, Fine Silver Casting, Gold casting (all colors and karats),
Platinum casting and Model Analysis
We are looking for a hard working and talented team player. We do not
expect perfection. We do expect dedication. This is a great
opportunity for someone that is planning their own line. You will
learn to recognize many design flaws that can sabotage a designer�s
line. You will learn to design for production without compromising
quality or concept. You will hone your skills through repetition in a
working situation.
