Hello Orchidians!

The First Annual New England Orchid celebration on June 26 at
Metalwerx in Waltham, Massachusetts, is beginning to take shape!
This will be a relaxing, educational and fun event. Organizers
Suzanne Wade and Karen Christians will host a day of jewelry
demonstrations, followed by cocktails and BBQ. We’ve just about
completed the demonstration schedule, and we are now seeking
donations to the Silent Auction. We’re also looking forward to
having Hanuman and Ton there!

For the Silent Auction, we are especially seeking donations of
tools, equipment, and jewelry-making supplies. Perhaps you have a
strand of high-quality beads or pearls that no longer fits with your
look; an order of materials, such as Keum-boo foil or PMC, for a
technique you’re not as excited about as you once were; or some loose
gemstones that just no longer hold any appeal for you. Here’s a great
opportunity to clear out your safe of those odds-and-ends, and help
support Orchid at the same time!

If you have an item you’d like to contribute to the Silent Auction,
please e-mail us at @Suzanne_Wade3 for more details on
donating.

We’ve also finalized the demonstration schedule, and it looks like
it’s going to be a great day to learn and share. Don’t miss out:
register as soon as possible!

The schedule for the full-day event is as follows:

9 am - Continental Breakfast

10 am - Demo - Orchid Wax Carving with Sumner Silverman
11 am - Demo - Hot Forge Twisting with Munya Upin
12 pm - Demo- Flex Shaft Goodies with Rich Bohr, 3M Company

Hello All!

If you are planning to attend the New England Orchid Celebration,
YOU HAVE 6 DAYS REMAINING TO RESERVE YOUR SPACE.

All the pieces are coming together for a wonderful day of jewelry
demonstrations, lively bidding, good food and conversation. Meet
old friends from the Orchid Forum and finally put faces to those
names. Bring your creations for “show and tell”.

Hanuman and Ton will be there to greet you in person.

Help Ganoksin Stay Healthy and Strong!

Get involved in the Silent Auction at the New England Orchid Event.
Proceeds from the Silent Auction benefit Ganoksin’s continued growth
of archives and galleries. You can get involved by donating an item
to the auction or by bidding on them at the Orchid Event.

Donations may be in the form of artwork, tools, books, gemstones,
services, or any other items relating to metalsmithing. In years
past, the most popular items have been hand-made tools, but there
are lots of things that you can donate for the auction. Consider
donating a copy of your favorite metalsmithing book, or an original
piece of your metalwork. Casting services, advertising, and other
services are also hot items!

Ganoksin exists to facilitate sharing, jewelry research
and to publish current articles from many major publications in the
industry such as AJM and Metalsmith Magazine.

Silent Auction Donations can be either mailed to Metalwerx, or
brought to the Orchid Celebration the day of the event.

For more or to donate work, please complete the form on
the screen. If you are bringing your donation, you must complete a
donation form at Metalwerx.

“Silent Auction Donation” on the outside of the box. We will notify
you when your donation arrives.

to donate an item to the Silent Auction, please complete the
donation page on the website. You can bring your donation with you,
the day of the Celebration.
